About the department (KFP)

Financial law is a branch of public law, where the teaching of this subject belongs to the traditional and important fields at law faculties. The relationship between the state and its organs on the one hand and other persons on the other dominates here. The department provides not only the teaching of financial law, but also related fields that are either directly based on financial law or the science of financial law or financial science.

The department provides the teaching of compulsory subjects such as Financial Law 1 and 2, Basics of the National Economy and Law and Economics, and the teaching of compulsory elective subjects, in particular Balance Sheet Law, Financial Accounting, Capital Market Law, Selected chapters from the history of financial relations, Legal aspects of financial crises, Legal aspects of ethics in business in both master's and bachelor's studies. The department guarantees one of the specialization projects – Applied issues of financial law.

Teaching is provided by financial lawyers, economists and experts in practice (tax and accounting advisor, insolvency administrator).

The department participates in rigorous management, university qualification theses and student scientific activities. Members of the department participate in conferences, seminars, participate in publication and project activities. The department has study supports for the subjects it provides.
