In the heart of Pilsen

THE FACULTY WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1993 FROM THE ENTHUSIASM
OF LAWYERS FROM PLZEŇ

The Faculty of Law of ZČU is one of the four law faculties existing at public universities in the Czech Republic. The faculty was established in 1993 from the enthusiasm of Pilsen lawyers, with the support of the city of Pilsen and personalities of the legal scientific community, especially from Prague. The first graduates graduated in 1998. Since then, several thousand graduates have graduated from the faculty. Currently, the faculty has an accredited master's study program in Law and Legal Science, a doctoral study program in Theoretical Legal Sciences, a bachelor's study program in Legal Specialization and a follow-up master's study program in Public Administration.

The faculty is staffed by experts who are known for their excellent erudition, extensive publishing activity and rich teaching experience. Our teachers also develop cooperation with various public authorities and many of them are important representatives of legal practice, especially judges, recognized lawyers, executors, arbitrators and insolvency administrators. Since 2017, the faculty has been publishing its own scientific journal, Právnické listy.
